Ok, the Flying Disc Magazine is still flying. It just isn't the official PDGA magazine. They have put out several issues rather quickly. Maybe they are starting to get the hang of it. It is a magazine that is not just about disc golf - it is about all disc sports, disc dogs, ultimate, guts and much more. They have some articles in it by Ken Climo, Dave Feldberg and Avery Jenkins. There's plenty of good stuff in there, like a history of disc golf by Jim Palmeri and a story on sandbagging by a former Cincinnati player, Frank Garcia, or for some who don't know he changed his name, it used to be Frank Spicer. Good stuff all in all. I haven't had a chance to read it all yet, but like what I saw. It is available here Flying Disc Magazine, March 2009 or in the store.
