When money is tight, there’s always room for a cheap hobby, and Disc ‘n Dat has everything to get started with disc golf.
“It is a cheap sport for this economy,” said owner Dan Bayless. For 11 years, Disc ‘n Dat has been helping both newcomers and veterans to disc golf get all the supplies they need.
Customers can keep it simple with a general disc or go all out with a disc bundle, disc bags or even a pole hole, where players throw the disc, to practice on.
In addition to making sure players have the gear they need, Disc ‘n Dat helps keep the disc golf community vibrant.
Throughout the year, the store hosts several tournaments at area courses and Bayless serves as the vice president for the Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association.
The most recent tournament was the Icebowl at England/Idlewild Park and Boone Woods Feb. 7. Money raised from the tournament will benefit the Fairhaven Rescue Mission.
