"The standings of the 2009 National Tour Points Series - Drive for the Championship, presented by Woodchuck Cider have now now been published:

Following his first NT victory at the Memorial in Arizona, Nikko Locastro leads the open division standings after the first of ten National Tour events. Coming off his very strong finish at the end of 2008, and a very impressive showing at the World Championships, Locastro looks to be a strong contender for the points title in 2009.
In the women's standings, Val Jenkins has the early season lead over Des Reading due to her victory at the Memorial. Look for these two to contend for the points title all year along with a handful of other seasoned veterans and promising up and comers.
With the loss of the Player's Cup in 2009, players who want to contend for the points race and be eligible for the season ending bonuses will be required to compete in at least four of the ten National Tour events, as well as the World Championship and the United States Disc Golf Championship (men) or the United States Womens Disc Golf Championship (women).
The second event in the 2009 Drive for the Championship will take place at the Atlanta Open in Georgia on March 28-29 when an already capacity field of 90 competitors will gather at the National Tour's newest event.
