Flying Disc Magazine - When?

As I'm sure many of you have been wondering - I certainly have been - when is the next issue of Flying Disc Magazine going to get here? I don't think any of the people who clamored to take this endeavor of putting out a disc golf magazine to the public and PDGA members on really understand that it is quite an undertaking and usually the boasts made prior are like political ads - just some hot air. Well, here's a blurb from Rich Givens (no, not Rick!) from Flying Disc Magazine about the next issue that was on the PDGA Message Board.

"Hello all. Producing FDM is a wonderful opportunity and is a source of tremendous joy. It's also a challenging and taxing endeavor, especially in our first year.We are very aware of the timing of the last couple of magazines and want to give you an update on things. Issue 4 is currently wrapped, finishing up production, and will be on trucks next week. From there we follow quickly with release of issue 5 in early December. Subscribers will then receive an additional issue (6), a special edition Year In Review magazine. We are holding that one as close to the end of the year as possible (to cover as much as possible, including the upcoming Players Cup major) but it'll be shipping before the end of December as well. We have received a great deal of feedback, and we know that you are eagerly anticipating the next issues. Thanks for all of the support and we appreciate your understanding as we move forward. The demands of putting this all together leave little time to hop on forums so if you've got suggestions or questions (or just want to throw in more support) please feel free to contact me via email or through our fdm website. 2009 will be a banner year for disc golf and for fdm. We have the workings in place to reach heights that will surprise you. Like to see your sport featured nationwide in major retailers? Keep an eye out, it's coming.Thank you again for all of your support. Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences. To the PDGA BOD we express additional gratitude, both for your faith and confidence and for working with us to improve the long term viability of this invaluable media project. Slam the chains and keep lovin' the lid. Rich Givens"
