Ok, we've got the lights to tape on to the discs - those have made the regular glow discs obsolete now. Those are great and have allowed many more people to play glow golf more often. Now, we've got another option. Now first off many people are going to say "NO WAY" am I going to put a hole in my disc. But maybe you have an older one you don't mind putting a hole in or you want to set up just a flight of discs that you use specifically for night play and don't want to bother with lights and taping them on discs, etc. Well, here's the AeroPOD - great idea. As you can see we have this attached to an MRX - not a see-through disc and this baby shines great. The AeroPOD is attached to the bottom of the disc with four tiny screws, so no, you're not going to use this disc in a PDGA tournament. But just for recreation and for someone who wants to set up a flight of night discs this is a great way to go. So, if you and your friends want to play some night golf or you play on Wednesdays at Banklick, these might be for you.
Banklick Glow Doubles Ace Fund is going on now until the time changes on Wednesdays at 6 pm. - never cancelled. Cost is $7 and the format is draw doubles, best-shot. $2 of the entry goes to the Ace Fund which is usually around $200. The rest of the entry is paid out to the winning scores for that evening. Great way to meet other disc golfers and to keep playing throughout the year. Any questions, just contact me at Disc 'n Dat.
